During our first week in Art, students collaborated to complete a Chuck Close inspired drawing. Students then wrote what they thought was the most important rule in the Art Room as the center of their art piece. Fifth graders arranged the artwork to create a pattern. We decided to make this our "Rule Board." If students need to reflect on the rules, they may go to the rule board and take an "Art Room Rules" sheet. This sheet has a list of the top five rules they have created as a school. They will circle the behavior that needs improvement and write out ways to improve the behavior. They will turn in the reflection log in a monthly folder available on the rule board.
